I'm Krysta C. Barrett, a native of Chester, Pennsylvania. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and devoted Christian. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology as well as a degree in Nursing.

As a Registered Nurse, I have witnessed death on many occasions, but losing my father caused an unbearable pain not only for me and the adults in my family, but also for my daughter Karstyn, affectionately known as Kari who was 3 years old at the time. Experiencing this great loss in life and seeing the affect it had on Kari developed a desire to help other children and families experiencing grief as well. Writing I do, I do, I Love You provided a space for healing and rebirthed a love for writing that laid dormant in me since childhood. It is my prayer that through reading my books that children and families will begin having the necessary conversations to overcome the hardships of life and promote healing and restoration.

aboutbook
I do, I do, I Love You is a children’s book that highlights the love between a little girl and her grandfather that has recently passed away. The book discusses the process of grief from a child’s perspective and presents a healthy way for parents to encourage dialogue surrounding death, grief, and love.
This book gives a realistic view of how grief can affect children and offers a positive outlook on ways to respond to death. Although this is a children’s book, it is the author's hope that this book can also be a light and healing tool to assist persons of all ages experiencing grief.
